After doing sfx and mix on four spots for a bank campaign, I've learned that they suddenly can't air one of them, for sensitivity reasons. The spot features a guy in scuba gear.

The bank is located somewhere in Alabama. My Nashville client was informed by the bank's marketing person that, sometime yesterday, a local pastor was found dead in his home. The man's body was bound to a chair, S & M style, and he was dressed up in full scuba gear. Maybe it was a latex thing.

Here's a small Quicktime of it before graphic completion. Music from a library, sfx from me.

Yesterday was the first full day I've spent at the external account that I've mentioned in recent postings, where I didn't screw up anything. One client, when asked by the owner/manager how things went, replied, "Perfect." This was after a session on the godforsaken Fairlight system. I call it job security.

Then, I got to come home to Talbot Sound and make humorous noises for a series of TV spots for a bank. I'll post one or two Quicktime movies when the graphics are completed (and after final client approval, of course).

It so happens that the main customer service phone number at the Tennessean newspaper, is only a single digit's difference from the first of my two ISDN lines.

When this morning's mysterious call came in, the codec sounded its connection alert, and I quickly patched it into the console and heard someone saying "helloooo???"

I called back the displayed number to explain what happened, and the guy told me he was trying to reach the newspaper to activate vacation stop.

This afternoon, it happened again. I saw the output meter pegging as the caller said "helloooo???", or perhaps something else.

There's an idea in here....somewhere....if I would just get a clue.

Tentatively titled, and subject to change. For now, it's a keeper.
